Administrative or Biographical History Fredrik Nibelius was born on June 10, 1850 in Hedemora, Dalarna. He attended the Fjellstedt School and worked as a teacher in Kristinehamn before emigrating to the United States in 1880. Nibelius enrolled at Augustana College in 1880 and the Augustana Seminary in 1881. He was ordained in 1882 in Altona, Illinois and served the congregations in Englewood, Illinois and Ophiem, Ilinois. Nibelius co-edited Nåd och Sanning and Zion's Sångbok. Nibleius died on July 4, 1897.
Scope & Content The papers include a scrapbook with religious texts and hymns written by Augustana Synod pastor Fredrik Nibelius. The scrapbook is not dated.
