Administrative or Biographical History Salem Lutheran Church was organized by Swedish settler son May 29, 1878 in a sod schoolhouse in what is now district 40, Platte County, Nebraska. The congregation built the first church in 1881 and the first resident pastor was Reverend Elias Peterson, 1879-1883.

Bohman, pastor at St. Edward's church 1932-1937, for the church yearbook or related publication.
