Administrative or Biographical History Anders Jonasson Lindstrom was born May 14, 1843 in Ronneby, Sweden. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1854, went back to Sweden and pursued studies there. He received his doctoral degree in 1869 from Uppsala Univeristy and was ordained in Uppsala June 1, 1870. Lindstrom went back to the United States the fall of 1870 and assumed a teaching position in Paxton, Illinois. Lindstrom moved to the small Swedish settlement Upsala in Florida in the fall of 1871. He died there on January 25, 1872.
Scope & Content The papers include family letters received by Lindstrom and other family members 1860-1873; letters written by Lindstrom 1862-1870; and diplomas and documents from his time as a student in Sweden 1863-1870.
